Want the GTalk Labs Edition interface without all the bugs? A quick Chrome solution for you...

The new Google Talk Labs Edition is very cute.  More of a one-window style of interface.  But it's got some prohibitive bugs - like you can't select text, you often can't click links and so forth.

Well here's a quick solution to get you the nice new interface but without the bugs:

  1. Open (or download and open!) Chrome 
  2. Visit this page: GTalk Browser Edition
  3. Click the page menu  
  4. Choose "Create Application Shortcuts" 
  5. Add the shortcuts wherever you find useful.

... now you have the new interface ( a flash file effectively ) running in a Chrome app.  The interface is the same (afaik) as the Labs Edition but doesn't have all the bugs that the labs edition seems to have.

    please let me know how i can log out from the chat. i didn't find any option , sign out option is there but ,when i open the chat application its already showing the logged in session.
